Like I promised, heres some new art that I managed to get up thanks to my trusty new scanner!
This piece is for another conceptual design for a unit in "That Game I'm not-really-designing but I am". In the line of Pestilence's ever-infected Minions, the Sisters Of The Swarm are devoted and enthusiastic to spreading the "Blessings" of Pestilence. Upon the grisly transformation to one worthy to become a Sister, she ritually wounds herself with cuts and holes. The more wounds one can take equates to the amount of respect she is worthy of, and those very injuries are prized, cared for and maintained. Over time, insects and their larvae are welcomed into the Sister's body through their newly attained wounds. The Sister procedes to her final transformation...and the result is illustrated in this piece, with her insect-like additions to her body.
I created her having an almost balanced melee fighter/support magician unit in mind. One who can hit hard (but not too hard) and can use her command over insects to boost friendly units and/or get her out of situations fast. Perhaps being upgradable later with wings to jump in and out of battle (but not fly as such). Had good fun designing this one and I hope you enjoy it!
That's lovely! I am envious of what looks like a very nice scanner....
Good detail and design, from the expression on her face to the blade she's holding to your gaming description.

This newsletter was "born" back in March 2007, from a conversation between ~Lareth and =FrozenStarRo, who with the help of their friends *Iardacil and =Sylwiaa , wanted to make something to promote known and unknown photomanipulators alike here on DeviantArt. As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same. As of recent, the talented =Behana has joined us in bringing you this weekly newsletter and we are excited to have her on board. This is a special feature, with a selection of 50 manips from the past year that we loved.
