Anguish, Woe, Despair...

Sun Nov 15, 2009, 1:24 AM
  • Mood: Euphoric
  • Listening to: NIN, Puscifer, Rammstein
  • Reading: Not enough D:<
  • Watching: Dexter, (was watching) Skins, Berserk
  • Playing: Borderlands, Dragon Age, Neverwinter Nights
  • Eating: Sushi of the Gods
  • Drinking: Coffee
...and other emotions that have nothing to do with me :la: (I'd call that an emoroll)

So hay people - yet again, its been awhile D: I'm taking off my Internet Stealth Suit (aka Life) just to drop an update on the whirlwind of events that have swept me up lately and kept me well away from pencils and (constructive) Internet as of recent. Thats me implying that you actually care, which could be far from the case, but if you're this far in reading this paragraph, you may as well carry on right? Right? (theres a tl;dr at the end)

First things first, I've gotta actually say, that after a long battle, grueling hours, drinking bottles of my own urine (okay, some hyperbole may be present in this sentence - the hours weren't THAT bad)...HAY, I actually got my friggin Work Permit to stay here in The Zealand that is New. What this means, is that not only has my efforts actually paid off, but I get to stay here with my gorgeous strawberry of a girlfriend, :iconwraithbaby: () whilst she studies to dominate in the animation scene AND fends me off from licking her cheek SIMULTANEOUSLY. Multitasking is indeed a gift I am jealous of. Merging our powers together, we have ascended this plane and emerged as Tamatto - Harbinger of Sugary Sarcasm. And ferrets baybay

Okay okay, after a diet of four leaf clovers and wearing clothes completely made from dismembered rabbit feet for a while, I not only have wrestled the elusive Work Permit from Immigration, but I find myself happily working at an up-and-coming video games company here in churchy, unconservative Christchurch. I just pinched myself again. The hours are long - absurd, one might say, but its really exciting. To be honest, I didn't know where I stood when I started there, but after contributing to 3 projects so far, I dig it so beeg. My mind is truly blown open to what I'm normally used to when it comes to my own art, as I'm required to do things I normally veer away from (like play Starcraft with a Korean). The team is warm, friendly and whilst so culturally diverse, we all tie together awesomely. I'm the only South African there, and I promise, I represent. All the time.

This is the part where I give you a long list of things I've done or plan to do, but I'm going to summarize for your lazy reading pleasure (you loser  )...

[Done. Still Doing. Want more.] Run rampant in Botanical Garden and City with ~wraithbaby, recording adventure photographically, and rollin out with our seagull posse. (atleast they're not bees wtf)

[Done.] Harrassed with Korean Soju at work. Pretty hardcore in frozen Fanta.

[Done. Moar.] Make sushi and jam video games as a couple kekeke. Borderlands Co-Op is A GOOD IDEA.

[NEEDS TO BE DONE] Ask Eidos wtf they're doing not finishing off the Legacy of Kain story.

[Done] Walked. Alot.

[Done] Missed bus. Alot. See above.

[Will happen] Road trip to Hot Springs Land and more in the Christmas Holiday!

[Will happen] More art from me once I've NAILED down my working hours. And, collaborations which excite me!

[Will happen] Exploring other part of this New Land of Zeal!

[Will happen as always] Seafood Noodles and Shrimp Fried Rice at alley way restaurant.

[Done] Managed to lose alot of weight involuntarily.

[Will happen] Need to buy more clothes because of above. 8D

[Impeded] I've only seen shitty type clothes D:<

[Awesome] Getting back in contact with friends again rocks so hard.

As per my usual bad habit, I'm going to round off my journal here before I harp on and on about how I'm so bad with journal entries and yadda yadda. Bottom line is, times a bitch but I'm going to make an avid effort to update my account more with new arts and text walls.

I leave with a thought: If a person claims Death to be their twin, are they asking for trolling or merely suggesting it politely? Just sayin'.

Keep it real people! Hope you're all good :D

tl;dr: I lied.
